COMMUNITY EDUCATION
More than 250 presentations in 2004-05 fiscal year

Our primary mission is to eliminate housing discrimination in Orange County. In an effort to achieve this goal, we provide counseling and training regarding fair housing laws to landlords, tenants, sellers, buyers, real estate professionals and others in the housing industry.

Other activities include attendance at public meetings, community events, educational seminars; countywide distribution of the Fair Housing Times newsletter; and a Fair Housing poster contest for school children. Winning posters appear on the Fair Housing Calendar that is distributed to more than 3,500 Orange County housing industry businesses, government officials and regulatory agencies. Posters are also displayed and distributed at educational events, public service mediums and informational forums.
